Privacy Policy
How FOCUS collects, uses, stores, and protects your information.
Last updated: September 26, 2026
1. Introduction
FOCUS is a productivity workspace operated by HerTech Media, LLC ("we", "us"). It helps you capture your thoughts and manage tasks, projects, goals, ideas, notes, calendar events and focus sessions.
This Privacy Policy explains what information FOCUS processes, how it is used, how it is stored and protected, and the choices you have.
2. Information We Process
Account and profile information
- Your email address and basic profile details you provide, such as your name, time zone and preferences.
- Sign-in information: a password you set (held by our authentication provider in a form we cannot read), or basic Google profile information (name and email) if you sign in with Google.
Content you create
- Tasks, subtasks, projects, goals, ideas and notes.
- Calendar events and focus sessions.
- Captures and brain dumps you type.
- Voice recordings you submit for transcription, and the transcribed text.
- AI-organized suggestions created from your captures.
- Files you voluntarily upload.
Google Calendar information
Only if you choose to connect Google Calendar. See the Google Calendar section below.
Technical and usage information
- Technical information needed to operate and secure the service, such as browser and device details, and security and access logs.
- Error and diagnostic reports.
- Limited usage metadata, such as "a capture was created" or "a task was completed". This records that an action happened, not the content of your tasks, notes or captures.
3. Capture, Voice and AI Processing
You can add information to FOCUS by typing or speaking through Capture. Your capture is saved first, before any processing.
- Voice recordings may be processed by a speech-to-text service to create a transcript.
- Captured text and transcripts may be processed by a third-party AI service to identify and organize items such as tasks, events, ideas, notes, goals, projects and reminders.
- AI suggestions are shown to you for review. They are only added to your workspace when you confirm them, and you can edit or reject them.
These providers process your content only to deliver these features to you.
4. Google Calendar
Connecting Google Calendar is optional and requires your authorization through Google. When connected, FOCUS accesses only the calendar event information needed for calendar sync, such as event titles, dates and times, locations, descriptions, and the identifiers needed to keep events in sync.
- Events imported from Google Calendar are shown in FOCUS and treated as external calendar data.
- While the connection is active, when you create, change or delete a FOCUS event, FOCUS may create, update or delete the matching event in your Google Calendar.
- You can disconnect Google Calendar at any time. Disconnecting does not delete your own FOCUS events.
- FOCUS does not access Gmail, Google Drive, Google Photos, Google Contacts or any other Google service.
- Google Calendar data is not sold, not used for advertising, and not used for purposes unrelated to the calendar features in FOCUS.
5. Google API Services User Data Policy
FOCUS's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Information from Google APIs is used only to provide the user-facing calendar features in FOCUS. It is not transferred to others except as needed to provide those features, for security, or to comply with law, and it is not read by people unless you give permission, it is needed for security, or it is required by law.
6. How We Use Information
- To provide FOCUS and its features.
- To display and organize your tasks, projects, goals, ideas, notes and calendar.
- To transcribe voice captures and produce organization suggestions for your review.
- To sync Google Calendar when you connect it.
- To provide sign-in and account access.
- To keep the service secure, troubleshoot problems and improve FOCUS.
- To contact you about your account or the service when necessary.
FOCUS does not use your content for advertising.
8. Uploaded Files
You can upload files to your private FOCUS workspace. Uploaded task files are stored privately, are available only to authorized members of your workspace, and are opened through short-lived private links. FOCUS does not analyze uploaded files unless a future feature clearly states otherwise.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information, including access controls that limit each workspace's data to its members. No online service can guarantee complete security.
10. Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as it is needed to provide the service and maintain your account, subject to legal and operational requirements.
11. Your Choices and Control
- Edit your information and content in FOCUS at any time.
- Delete tasks, notes, events, files and other applicable content.
- Disconnect Google Calendar in Settings → Calendar & Integrations. Syncing stops, imported Google events are removed from your FOCUS calendar, and your own FOCUS events stay. You can also remove access from your Google Account permissions page.
- Request deletion of your account and data by emailing herdigitalpath@gmail.com from the address linked to your account.
12. Children's Privacy
FOCUS is a general productivity service and is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
